It’s been a long time coming but Kêu Borough is finally up and running. Here’s what we have in-store!
For over 20 years, I’ve been on a mission to bring the flavours of Vietnam to London. From street food to traditional barbecue—Kêu, Cây Tre, and Viet Grill—are all about showcasing the diverse, vibrant dishes I grew up with. At Kêu, we pair the hustle and bustle of Saigon’s markets with top-quality produce like meat from British farms and fresh veggies from Paul Wheeler.
This new location, sandwiched (or should we say banh mi’ed) between London Bridge and Borough Market, takes everything I love about Vietnamese food to the next level.
One thing I’m really excited about is our hand-pulled noodles, made fresh in-house using techniques straight from Saigon’s Chinatown. A must-try? Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang—a comforting bowl of rice noodles in umami-rich pork stock, topped with pork and prawns. It’s a dish that tells the story of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian food culture all in one bite.
Another star is Mỳ Vằn Thắn Thơm, a fragrant wonton noodle soup packed with seasonal flavours. Of course, we couldn’t leave out our iconic bánh mì. These crusty French baguette sandwiches are a nod to Vietnam’s colonial history and are packed with fragrant flavours.
Some of my favourites:
- Hoi An Deluxe: Pork ham, spiced pork belly, chicken liver pâté, and a special Hội An sauce
- BBQ Pork: Juicy, honey-glazed pork shoulder with lemongrass and five-spice
Wash it all down with a Vietnamese coffee, Saigon lime soda, or an ice-cold beer.
We wanted the interiors at Kêu Borough to reflect the charm of Saigon—vivid colours, eclectic designs, and a buzzing street kitchen vibe. Upstairs, there’s counter seating and stools for that noodle-house feel, while downstairs has more seating, including a long table for up to 15 (perfect for group slurping sessions!). And don’t miss the kitchen window, where noodles are freshly hand-pulled every day.
Whether you’re picking up a bánh mì to go, grabbing lunch with colleagues, or looking for a spot to wind down after work with noodles and a beer, Kêu Borough’s got you covered. Open late, we’re here to satisfy all your cravings, day or night.
